Portuguese granite slabs direct from the quarry
Sold direct from the quarry, our Portuguese granite slabs start at 22.95€/m² excl. VAT (excl. VAT, excl. delivery). A sandblasted or shot-blasted granite paving at this price per m², without unnecessary intermediaries and CE-certified.
In standard formats 40x40, 40x60, 30x60 and 50x50 — up to 120x60 on request — they dress the terrace, outdoor paving, staircase, stepping stones or pool edging. Thicknesses from 2 cm, 3 cm as standard.
Laying on sand, gravel, concrete slab or on adjustable supports (raised terrace), with a joint for outdoor slabs: granite resists frost and bad weather and stays slip-resistant thanks to sandblasted or shot-blasted finishes. Available in Amarelo Real, Blanco Mera, Crema terra, Gris Mondariz, Rosa Porinho and other colours.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the price per m² of granite slabs?
- Our Portuguese granite slabs are sold from 22.95€/m² excl. VAT (excl. VAT and delivery), direct from the quarry. The price varies according to colour, finish (sandblasted or shot-blasted), format and thickness. Ask us for a quote.
- Which granite slab format should you choose for a terrace?
- Our standard formats are 40x40, 40x60, 30x60 and 50x50: large formats give a contemporary look with fewer joints, while more compact ones are easier to lay on a terrace with a complex shape. Up to 120x60 on request.
- Which granite slab thickness should you choose: 2 cm or 3 cm?
- We offer slabs from 2 cm thick, with 3 cm as standard. Outdoors on raised supports, prefer 3 cm (or more) for strength. Laid on a concrete slab or on mortar, 2 cm suits most pedestrian uses.
- How to lay granite slabs outdoors and which joints should you use?
- Outdoors, lay on a sand or stabilized gravel bed (driveways, terraces), on a concrete slab with mortar, or on adjustable supports for a raised terrace. Use a special outdoor joint (polymer sand or flexible mortar) or open joints on raised supports, and allow a 2% slope for water drainage.
- How to make stepping stones from granite slabs?
- Stepping stones are slabs laid individually, spaced 30 to 40 cm apart, in the middle of a lawn or a flowerbed. Choose slip-resistant slabs (sandblasted or shot-blasted) and set them on a bed of sand or gravel.
- Can granite slabs be used for an outdoor staircase?
- Yes. For an outdoor staircase, prefer bespoke steps at least 3 cm thick, with a slip-resistant finish (sandblasted or shot-blasted) and a treated step nosing, plus the sides if visible. Mortar laying on concrete steps is the most common.
- Can granite slabs be used as pool copings?
- No, because they do not have suitable finishes. You need pool copings with a finish suited to the inner edge of the pool. Copings are available in free lengths (between 80 cm and 120 cm) in a sandblasted finish for optimum comfort and safety at the water's edge.
- New or old granite slabs: which should you choose?
- We sell new granite slabs from our quarries in Northern Portugal: regular dimensions, CE standard and a wide variety of colours. Old reclaimed slabs are often in limited stock and irregular, which complicates laying.
