Transport of granite products
Before ordering, check that the truck can access and manoeuvre at your unloading site, and that you have the equipment needed to unload the granite.
Delivery of granite setts from Portugal
Our granite setts are shipped from our quarries in Northern Portugal, on pallets or in big bags, by a specialised carrier, to France and across Europe. Each order is carefully prepared before shipment.
- Packaging: pallets (up to 2 tonnes) or big bags (up to 1,500 kg).
- Lead times: 1 to 2 weeks for stocked formats (mixed and grey 9x11x5); 2 to 3 weeks for standard orders, depending on the reference, quantity and destination.
- Unloading: have a forklift or tractor with forks available (minimum fork height 2.80 m) and check that the semi-trailer (20 m, 40 t) can access and manoeuvre on site.
- Price: delivery is quoted on request, based on the destination.

Attention
We are not liable for damage caused to the truck and/or to the unloading facilities. Any truck immobilisation or crane intervention costs are at the customer's expense.
For this reason, please check carefully that the truck can pass and has room to manoeuvre.
Check access before ordering
When ordering, make sure the unloading location meets the necessary conditions to avoid awkward situations.
- Road too narrow.
- Trees can tear the tarpaulin.
- Check that the road has enough angle for the truck to manoeuvre.
- Check that the truck has an exit at the end of the road to manoeuvre.
The required equipment
For any unloading, you need a forklift / tractor or other with forks:
- Minimum fork height: 2 m 80
- Minimum fork length: 1 m 20 / 1 m 40, ideally 1 m 60
- Big bags are placed 2 by 2. If it is not possible to walk around the truck to unload from the opposite side, the forklift must have forks long enough to reach the second big bag.
- Some worktops weigh 650 kg.
- 1 big bag can weigh 1,500 kg / big bag height 1 m 50.
- 1 pallet can weigh up to 2 tonnes.
Special cases: worktops, slabs, door and window thresholds
Unloading equipment is required.
- For manual unloading, please have professionals on site able to hold a worktop on edge and not horizontally or it may break. Minimum 4 people.
- Whatever the thickness of a worktop, because of the holes for the hob, granite becomes very fragile.
- We are not liable for breakage during unloading.
Truck immobilisation or crane intervention costs are at the customer's expense. Always check access and unloading equipment before delivery.
